We had an unwelcome guest. Not un unknown, when Tijger was in
heat
he was prominently present. Although he probably is not, we can not entirely rule
out that he is the father of Blauwblauw. But what did not happen then, was happening
now. He came in at night and planted his flag. We were not amused. All attempts to
discourage him have failed and we did not want to lock the cat door every night, so
we decided to go the 21st century way and ordered an
Sureflap electronic cat door.
It arrived yesterday and installing it was no problem. Programing it to respond to
the subcutanial RFID transponders of
Tijger and
Blauwblauw
was easy. It works as advertised. So now the cat door can remain unlocked at night.
But from now on only for our own. No more uninvited guests.
